A bike trip to this magical land of mountains, high passes, alpine valleys, monasteries, and Buddhism is pure love. Combining this exciting bike trip of Sikkim with another land of high mountains, Buddhism, Monasteries, and magnificent vistas, Bhutan is no less than a dream trip. Bhutan is a unique Buddhist kingdom with a rich cultural heritage and natural wonders.

    Day 1

    Siliguri to Gangtok (1650m/114 kms/5-6 hrs ride) (Hotel Stay)

    Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at Siliguri and will brief you on the journey ahead. The journey starts from an outskirt of Siliguri and within hours of your smooth ride, we will be among the dense forest and river by your side. Tackling numerous hilly curves, you will reach Melli a border check post for the west and south part of Sikkim. From here we will drive ahead taking the left-hand side in the other direction for Rongpo, which is another check post for East and North Sikkim. By now you will already start feeling the mountain breeze and vibe as you near the Rongpo check post. Here we will stop for the Lunch and permit formalities. A drive of around one and half hours from here and we will be in Gangtok. Check into the hotel and get refreshed. The evening is on your own. You can take a walk around the street of MG Marg and get a glimpse of local culture. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

    Day 2

    Gangtok to Lachung (2700m/110 Kms/6-7 hrs ride) (Hotel Stay)

    Today is the first day of the ride on the mountainous highway. After a hearty breakfast, we will ride towards Lachung, a beautiful helmet situated at the remote corner of North Sikkim mostly inhabited by the Lachungpa tribe. Our first stop on the way will be Tashi viewpoint to witness the majestic view of Mt. Kanchendoznga and distant valleys. we will explore the cascading waterfalls and scenic beauty all along the way. Upon arrival at Lahcung check into the hotel. Evening free to explore the Lachung Monastery and Village. Overnight stay at Lachung

    Day 3

    Lachung to Yumthang Valley (3700m) and Zero Point (4724m) to Lachen (2600m/150 Kms/6-7 hrs ride) (Hotel Stay)

    Today after breakfast we will ride towards Yumthang Valley and Zero point/Yumesamdung. Yumthang valley is also popularly known as the “Valley of flowers” for its richness in flowers. It’s a beautiful valley surrounded by snowy mountains and rivers and is also home to Singhbha Rhododendron Sanctuary. A further drive of around one and a half hours will take you to Zero point or Yumesamdung which is the last motorable road and lies closer to the Chinese border with India. Return to Lachung, take Lunch, and further ride to Lachen. Once arrived check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Lachen.

    Day 4

    Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake (5425m) and drive back to Lachen (132 Kms/5-6 hours ride) (Hotel Stay)

    After early morning tea grabs some breakfast and rides towards Gurudongmar Lake traversing the windy roads. Gurudongmar Lake is the highest lake in the world, and India is situated at an altitude of 5,430m/17,800 ft above sea level. The adventurous and thrilling ride towards Gurudongmar Lake will be mostly windy and the terrain is slightly rough. Take your time to sit by the scenic pristine holy lake and cherish the wonderful moments. Embrace the pristine and wonderful panorama of nature and ride back to Lachen and explore the Village in the evening. Overnight stay at Lachen

    Lachen to Gangtok (1650m/114 Kms/5-6 hrs ride) (Hotel Stay)

    After breakfast ride back towards Gangtok through the lush green forest with endless turns and twists. Upon arrival at Gangtok take a short rest and have lunch. Evening free to explore the lively Market of Gangtok. Overnight stay in Gangtok

    Rest and free day at Gangtok (Hotel Stay)

    Today you can wake up late to take long rest and regain the much-needed strength. Have a delicious and healthy breakfast. Check and clean your bikes. Take a short hike towards the outskirt of Gangtok or explore the famous street of the MG Marg area and do the shopping and buy souvenirs. Overnight stay in Gangtok

    Gangtok to Nathula (4310m) to Zuluk (2900m) to Padamachen (2438m) (155 Kms/6-7 hours ride) (Hotel Stay)

    After an early breakfast ride towards Padamchen with a visit to famous Tsongo Lake, Nathula pass, Baba Mandir, Kupup, Gnathang, Nathang valley, and Zuluk. Tsongo Lake is situated at 3753m and is one of the most pristine high altitude glacial lakes in Sikkim. Baba Mandir is a famous shrine built in honor of the late Baba Harbhajan Singh Ji. Nathula pass is a high mountain pass that borders India and China. You can have a memorable sight of the actual Indo-China Border. Later ride towards Padamchen through Kupup, Nathang valley and famous hairpin turns of Zuluk and the old silk route. The ride today is one of the most adventurous and exciting rides with gorgeous landscapes and high passes along with the stunning views of Mt. Kanchendzonga and its group of mountains while descending towards Padamchen. Once arrive check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Padamchen

    Padmachen to Siliguri (94-105 Kms) (5-6 hrs ride) (Hotel Stay)

    After waking up leisurely, enjoy your delicious breakfast and ride towards Siliguri through charming Himalayan villages and valleys. As you start descending more towards the plain area, the feel of the warm air on your faces, crazy traffic, and the movement of busy city life will instantly make you miss the charm and peace of the Himalayas. You will instantly start planning for the next trip to the Himalayas already by now. Upon arrival check into the hotel and get refreshed. Return your bikes and finish the paper formalities.     Siliguri to Phuntsholing (158 kms/4-5 hrs drive) (Hotel stay)

    After breakfast drive to Jaigoan/Phuntsholing town with a private vehicle through a scenic highway. Jaigoan/ Phuntsholing is an India-Bhutan border. Upon arrival at the border, checkpoint completes the immigration formalities and check into the hotel. Evening free to walk around on your own to explore the mixed culture of both the country.     Phuntsholing to Thimpu (150 Kms/ 4-5 hrs ride) (Hotel stay)

    Today is the first day of your ride in Bhutan. Check your bikes in the morning. After breakfast gets ready for a thrilling ride through the scenic roads.     Thimpu to Punakha (85 kms/3-4 hrs ride) (Hotel stay)

    After breakfast gets ready and starts your ride towards Punakha. Today the ride is through the beautiful Himalayan highway but slightly bumpy at times. The landscape and scenery are heavenly and blissful. Upon arrival check into the hotel and get refreshed. Later explore Punakha Dzong and other attractions. Overnight stay at Punakha.

    Punakha to Paro (120 kms/4-5 hrs ride) (Hotel stay)

    After breakfast head towards one of the most beautiful towns of Bhutan, Paro situated at the Paro valley. Paro is home to some of the most beautiful monasteries and Temples in Bhutan. The road today is as usual scenic with excellent panorama and nature. Your ride through the hairpin curves of the Dochu La Pass route is exhilarating and adventurous. Take a stop at several locations to witness and explore the wonderful attractions. Upon arrival at Paro check into the hotel and get refreshed. The evening is at your leisure where you can walk the local streets of Paro to get the cultural and traditional experience. Overnight stay at Paro.

    Paro to Tiger Nest Monastery hike and Rest (15 minutes ride/2-4 hrs hike) (Hotel stay)

    Today is a rest day at Paro with and hike to Tiger Nest monastery. Tiger Nest Monastery also known as Paro Taktsang or Taktsang Palphug Monastery is a revered monastery and sacred Buddhist site. The monastery is located 900 meters above the upper cliff in the Paro Valley. The hike is adventurous and spiritual with excellent breathtaking views from the top. Afterward, return back to Paro and explore other places of interest. Overnight stay at Paro.

    Paro to Jaldapara (175 kms/5-6 hrs ride) (Hotel stay)

    Get up to a beautiful morning and get ready for a long ride to Jaldapara. Eat a healthy and heavy breakfast as it is a long day ride. The day will be emotional as it is the penultimate day of your beautiful Himalayan trip. Upon arrival at the Jaldapara check into Hotel and get refreshed. The evening is at your leisure. A small tribal cultural program and bonfire can be arranged. Overnight stay at Jaldapara.
